WPD Announces 2008 Professional Creative Wedding Photography Contest

Boston, MA, (PRWEB) June 4, 2008 -- The WPD 2008 Summer Professional Creative Wedding Photo Contest (http://www.weddingphotographydirectory.com/wedding-photo/contest/2008-summer/contest-rules.aspx) is open to WPD members and outside professional wedding photographers alike. Contest finalists will be revealed to the public for voting and critique. The winners will be determined by voters. Points will be judged leaned towards creativity and concept. The $1,000 grand prize could be yours!

The previous WPD Annual Wedding Photography Contest (http://www.weddingphotographydirectory.com/wedding-photo/contest/2008/contest-winners.aspx) has received over 2,500 wedding photo. Over 75,000 votes were analyzed to determine the winning selections. The WPD would like to thank the wedding photography community; your support has enabled the contest to thrive and evolve into a great success.

In addition to the top three prize winners, the WPD is introducing the Public Critique Commentator Award for the very first time. The nature of the WPD wedding photo contest's public critique is to elevate the contestant's level of creativity via honest and constructive open feedback. This award will be given to the individual that provides the best and insightful critique.

Contest Awards:

Grand Prize: $1,000 Grand Prize - The grand prize winner will receive $1,000.
